Hippotherapy

We are partnered with Horse and Petting Pal Interaction, Inc (HAPPI Farm), a non-profit organization. We combine physical therapy with a range of treatments that involve activities with horses to promote physical health. We used evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning in the purposeful manipulation of equine movement to engage sensory, neuromotor, and cognitive systems to achieve functional outcomes. In conjunction with the affordances of the equine involvement and other treatment strategies, hippotherapy is a part of a patient’s integrated plan of care.

Patients with the following conditions benefit most from Hippotherapy:

  1. Autism
  2. Cerebral Palsy
  3. Developmental Delay
  4. Multiple Sclerosis
  5. Fibromyalgia
  6. Neurological Disorders
  7. Spinal Cord Injury

We are proud members of the American Hippotherapy Association (AHA). Hippotherapy is conducted every Saturday between the hours of 2:00pm – 6:00pm.
